The Senate finally passed the FIRST STEP Act (H.R. 5682), but now it’s up to you to approve it in its final form and push this monumental piece of legislation across the finish line and to the President’s desk.

The FIRST STEP Act is the most significant criminal justice reform in decades, and its principles are championed by the American Conservative Union Foundation’s Center for Criminal Justice Reform.

I urge you to support conservative criminal justice reform and vote YES on H.R. 5682.

Voting for the FIRST STEP Act is as much about protecting our neighborhoods as it is about dealing with people who have broken the law.

As one of your constituents, I believe prisoners should leave prison better than when they went in. As a conservative and firm supporter of the ACU, I want to ensure my tax dollars are used to correct offenders and prepare them to enter the workforce instead of warehousing them.
